I’m Stephanie Chitwood, a freelance website designer looking to help you create the website you desire! I specialize in creating fun and innovative designs that provide an enjoyable experience for all. I love to learn, I’m quick on my feet and I thrive working with GREAT people!
I completed the University of Oregon UX/UI Web Design Program November 2021 to May 2022 and learned skills that are undeniably valuable in this industry. Currently, I am working with Gordon Collett from Intersquare. I’ve become familiar working with clients, understanding their needs in a website, what they might already have for the website and fulfilling their vision!
Using design tools including Figma, Miro, Adobe XD, Visual Studio Code while also being familiar with Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress, Wix and CoffeeCup’s Site Designer I have been able to learn the best website design techniques to apply in my own design process. While interning with Intersquare, I have been introduced to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices that will help me get your website to the top pages of an initial search and custom coding to elevate the websites I work on.
I am located in South East Washington. When I’m not designing I like exploring the vast Pacific North West wilderness at the coast by haystack rock in Pacific City or over the mountain to enjoy a microbrew in Bend. I love connecting with people and creating relationships. I very much look forward to hearing from you about your website design needs!
My skills include understanding and using Figma, Miro, InVision, Google, Adobe XD and CoffeeCups Design tools. I also am familiar with CMS like Wix and Wordpress and coding platforms like Visual Studio Code and CoffeeCups HTML editor. I work with many hosting providers, of which I prefer BlueHost and will be most likely be setting your website up through their servers.
I use the “double diamond” design method to help me map out the design. The Double Diamond process starts with understanding you! We discuss your needs and desires with the website. I then come up with some rough sketches and send them to you to preview. Once we come up with the desired flow of the website, we will move into a more polished design that will be ready to be published on the web!(Hosting services discussed further above.)
